Last week the Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 in support of a charter amendment for the November ballot that would defund the sheriff's department and restructure how the county handles labor negotiations. RSA has joined ALADS and other labor organizations in strongly opposing this measure. We believe this amendment would undermine public safety and strip workers of fair representation. We urge all members and community supporters to vote NO on this charter amendment.
