A November measure would cut $9.4 million from
budget
Moreno
Valley voters will consider a measure this November that, if passed,
will gut the city's police and fire departments. The utility Tax
Measure is designed to repeal a 6% city cut tax on utilities. The
$9.4 million in funds, which make up nearly 20% of the city's budget,
pay for a large portion of Moreno Valley's public safety services. To
